Yesterday, I ran out of my favorite foundation (Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Foundation)—it was my second bottle, I just love how it goes on smoothly and how it makes my skin look so fresh (it also lasts for hours!). Anyway, because of that, I had a dilemma. You see, I have a small collection of base (foundation, pressed powder, loose powder), and I was torn as to which among all the products I have will get to be my next everyday foundation. I finally settled on the Revlon PhotoReady Two-Way Powder Foundation (I want to save my MAC Studio Fix Foundation for special occasions, and I want to road test the other products first—I know they’re all good, but I’m very cautious when it comes to what gets to be my everyday base). I like how this product gives seamless coverage, while being so lightweight on the skin.

Now, on to the main topic, my current obsession: Holiday makeup. I love the holidays to begin with, so I’m totally excited about everything related to it. I have yet to try the other holiday makeup products that I recently bought and received as gifts, and I will update this entry as I go along. For now, I will share with you the first two that I’ve tried: the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick (I have it in Plum) and the Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Pink. Both are from Laura’s Fall/Holiday 2011 Collection. Check out my photo, I wore the gloss and the caviar stick to work today:

Please do ignore my awkward pose. The point of this photo is to show how nice the sheen of Laura’s Lip Glace is—and also how the Caviar Stick opens up my eyes, but doesn’t really make me look too made up (I have really small eyes, and I’ve recently learned to play them up).
